Associate Director - Asset Services (Property Asset Manager)

About the Team

Asset Services is one of my client's key service lines, employing around 800 people within the UK.

The National Portfolio and Specialist Markets team are a collaborative, social and innovative team responsible for the management of a number of key clients, this role will focus on the team's largest client. The role offers the following opportunities: -

Key Responsibilities

  • Building good Client relationships
  • Manage the transition of properties in and out of management
  • Responsibility for compliance relating to sites under management
  • Carrying out of property inspections
  • Responsibility for insurance management
  • Ensuring accurate data is maintained on the property management databases
  • Ensure rent demands are raised accurately and on time and credit control targets are met for rent and service charge collections
  • Ensure client reports are prepared to the correct specifications
  • Work and oversee the on-site facilities teams
  • Set, manage and review service charge budgets and complete service charge year end reconciliations in accordance with RICS guidelines.
  • Collaborate and support colleagues, identify opportunities to cross-sell across the wider business
  • Responsibility for chairing occupier meetings
  • Review and manage occupier applications and prepare client recommendations
  • Management and oversight of client appointed external consultants

Key Skills/Knowledge

  • Preferably RICS qualified
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to property management and leases
  • Personable, able to build and maintain client, occupier and internal relationships
  • Understand and appreciation of investment objectives and priorities
  • Experience of dealing with occupier applications for consents
  • Knowledge and experience of service charge management
  • Able to work as part of a team and manage a team, supporting colleagues and recognising the work of others

  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
  • Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team
  • Confident and assertive where required
  • Understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion
  • Preferred but not essential experience with Yardi database

Location: Central London
Pay: Basic £50-60K based on exp + bonus and various benefits.
