Our client is a leading property management furniture solutions specialist, working across the UK & Europe with an impressive reputation and professional approach. Working with Landlords, Developers, Agents, Student Accommodation providers and Property Management companies they have developed long standing and trusted relationships due to their service led solutions.

Due to continuous growth and development they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to develop relations with, introduce new business from, and maintain continued relationships with student accommodation providers across the UK. Define the long term organisation strategy, negotiating and closing sales deals. Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and maximise revenue. 

Key duties and responsibilities
• Identify new business opportunities and arrange meetings 
• Plan and prepare presentations that showcase Student Furniture’s service offering
• Communicate existing and new products to prospective clients
• Oversee the development of marketing material
• Arrange distribution of marketing literature
• Pipeline reporting of management information regarding ‘student’ sales
• Maintain accurate records of all sales, revenue, invoices 
• Working with other departments such as internal sales team and E-commerce to develop their understanding of Student Furniture’s core service and products
• Develop entry level sales staff into valuable skilled salespeople
• Represent Student Furniture at events such as networking events, trade exhibitions and conferences
• Liaise with and support Operations Management in the delivery of high volume ‘student’ projects
• Act as first point of contact for clients that place ‘student’ orders
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• On-site project management
• Management of installation staff 
• Provide quality after-sales support and continuous keeping-in-touch initiatives
• Manage and maintain contractual arrangements with sub-contractors and/or clients

Candidate Requirements
• Clear understanding and knowledge of the Student Accommodation market, companies and providers
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (client facing)
• Proven sales track record
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Time management and planning skills
• High level of initiative and self-motivation
• Knowledge / experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Bright and friendly manner
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Outgoing and engaging personality, a door opener
• Highly organised
