Our client are an award winning London based property developer who have been established for almost 50 years. They acquire, develop, sell, manage and lease a mixture of luxury residential, hotels and commercial properties so you will be exposed to a fantastic variety of projects and different aspects of the development cycle of them, depending on the intention of purpose. Many of the existing assets are beautiful listed buildings, so exposure of working on these would be useful.
This is a unique position for someone to predominantly assist the owners with the project planning and delivery of all new construction project's.
You should preferably have a background as a chartered building surveyor since you will be dealing with the traditional defect diagnosis of existing buildings, advising the owners of any potential defects and/or risks. You'll also deal with occasional dilapidation and party wall notifications, although you'll have the support of external experts for this and manage those relationships.
You'll liaise heavily with local authorities, Building Control, Warranty providers and so on, to help ensure there is a smooth and efficient development process and on the delivery side, work closely with the on site team advising on technical matters.
You'll perhaps have moved in to a Development Management / Development Surveyor type of role or could also come from this background, so long as you have the technical skills required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an exciting developer in an autonomous role across a wide variety of asset class.
Perhaps you are tired of the central London commute and would like to work more locally!
