Job Title: Customer Service Operative - Location: Caterham, Surrey - Rate: £12.50 - £17.50 per hour Duration: 6 months
Deverell Smith are recruiting for a Customer Service Operative to work on two large residential schemes in Caterham You will be working as part of a team and reporting into a project manager on site.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure defects are resolved in accordance with the 2 year warranty.
Identify the cause of defects, be able to plan what action is need to resolve the defects, and undertake these actions to resolve the defect.
Provide work to a high standard including a high quality finish.
Take great care of the customer's home whilst you are there, ensuring the home is secure at all times, fittings, fixtures and possessions are protected from damage, and the area of work is left spotlessly clean after finishing work.
Take great care of the customer and any other occupants during work, in particular in relation to their health and safety.
Communicate pleasantly and professionally, ensuring the customer is clear on the work to be carried out, what has been completed, what remains to be done and any next steps.
Develop strong customer relationships. Ensure individual customer needs are identified through maintaining close, individual and systematic contact with customers.
Provide reports on your work, most notably weekly activity sheets showing how long you spent on each defect in each customer's home.
Deliver the service in a way that represents the customer's proper and legitimate needs and requirements, managing customer expectations and delivering to the quality standard required.
Foster close communications with other teams, in particular customer relations, build, technical, commercial and estate management teams.
Take responsibility for personal development in order to develop the skills and knowledge needed to perform the work to the required standard.
Play a role in ensuring contractors and their operatives behaviours and quality of work is delivered to the required standard.
Contribute new ideas and innovation in customer service in order to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in the respective markets of the company.
Ensure the health and safety of employees, customers and the general public through compliance with responsibilities as laid down in the Health and Safety Policy in order to ensure a safe environment within the function.
