The role

The Valuation Business Line is a key strength in the London office. As a Senior Surveyor/Associate Director, requirements include conducting a mix of appraisal and valuation work for investment and banking clients in addition to consultancy advice for both public and private sector clients.

Clients and Business Development

  • Manages existing clients relationships at a senior level on a day-to-day basis
  • Can identify new business opportunities outside own discipline and pass on
  • Responsible for managing small instructions or subsections of major projects
  • Works independently on most assignments but receives guidance on unusual or complex issues
  • Has broad knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines
  • Enhances the Real Estate's reputation through successful delivery
  • Builds own network within service lines


  • Supervises teams on assignments
  • Shares knowledge with/ provides information to colleagues and team
  • Mentors other junior colleagues, particularly graduates approaching RICS APC assessments

Systems and Process

  • Person specific. Evaluates, adapts and improves standards, techniques and procedures
  • Is a contributor to the Real Estate projects

Essential qualifications

  • Educated to degree level
  • RICS Registered Valuer (preferred)

Essential experience

  • Demonstrable record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market within consultancy or transactional roles
  • Previous experience and evidence of enhancing performance through growth and profitability
  • Developing profile as a business generator
  • Experience with Argus software suite (ValCap, Developer and Enterprise) is preferable, in addition to a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
