Seeking a Project Manager with a background in the trades, our client, based in South-East London, is a specialist sub-contractor with a difference. Highly creative, their unique service platform encompasses so much more than just build services, extending to an in-house design, fabrication and FF&E service, as well as providing a range of project services to their clients.
They seek a Project Manager to join a Project Services team undertaking the following: Carpentry & joinery, Commercial/Residential fit-outs, Installations & events and Design & Project Management
Spanning the entire project life-cycle (design, project management, procurement, manufacture, finishing and installation) their projects arm services a number of reputable commercial and residential developers.
A byword for quality, they tend to be called upon to assist in the delivery of high-value, design-led and innovative developments, predominantly commercially led, although having also undertaken a number of high-spec residential fit-outs.
The ideal candidate will have a background in either Joinery or Carpentry, as well as Project Management experience working for another specialist sub-contractor. That said, the successful applicant could also be an ambitious Site Manager looking to transition to more of a Project Management remit.
In the capacity of Joinery Lead, the day-to-day remit of the role will comprise substantial client engagement, ultimate accountability for the formulation of and adherence to the project schedule, Cost Management, Appointment and Management of sub-contractors, Quality control and Procurement.
The successful applicant will likely possess the following qualities:
- 3+ years proven experience of commercial/residential interior fit out joinery production (ideally both)
- Degree level qualification in relevant subject
- CSCS accredited
- Organised and possess excellent management skills
- Strong communicator
- Proficient in H&S practices
- Computer literate on Mac based systems
- Ability to work in fast pace environment
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience.
