We are looking for an experienced Repairs and Maintenance Manager to join a Local Authority based in North London. The Repairs and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of responsive repairs service including day to day repairs, void works and mechanical and electrical services.
The successful applicant to the role of Repairs and Maintenance Manager will have proven experience in a similar role and will be able to provide successful delivery on repairs and maintenance services in line with the Council's values, agreed budgets and contractual obligations. We are seeking applications from candidates who have managed and controlled large revenue programmes, and who have delivered successful outcomes from procurement and contract administration processes.
Key responsibilities within the role will include:
- Ensuring that all the Council's homes receive timely repairs in line with landlord/contract obligations
- Managing relationships with contractors and stakeholders
- Contract procurement and budget planning
In this role, you must be able to pro-actively communicate and share information to relevant council departments to resolve contractual disputes and want to improve the responsive repairs service. The ideal candidate will have successfully delivered responsive repairs works and be able to manage relationships successfully. You will be able to demonstrate a track record at management level of achieving customer centred outcomes, in an organisation dealing with large scale repairs and maintenance activities.
