The company is an independent firm of chartered surveyors, incorporating successful sales, lettings and property management departments.
Based in Pimlico, they predominantly cover the SW1 postcode so consequence knowledge of this area would be helpful, but is by no means essential. This is a busy office in an exclusive part of the capital so the ideal candidate will need to be able to handle high net worth individuals, and the customer services skills suited to the area and position.
The company is happy to employ someone with no previous property experience as they are prepared to train the successful candidate from scratch. However, it would be beneficial if you have previously worked in a competitive sales environment or at least a customer facing role. You will also need to have excellent communication and presentation skills.
The role will include the following duties:
- Registering potential purchasers and tenants on the phone and in person
- Qualifying their buying / renting position and their requirements
- Arranging and accompanying viewings
- Gaining feedback from these viewings
- Negotiating offers
- Communicating with, and feeding back to vendors and landlords
- General office administration
- Telephone sales
This position will come with a basic salary that will depend on the experience level of the successful candidate, but will be in the range of £14,000 to £20,000. You will be paid pool commission giving realistic first year earnings of circa £22,000 to £35,000. The company will also provide a guaranteed pro rata draw of £20,000 for the first three months. The office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.30pm, and Saturdays from 9.00am to 1.00pm. You will be expected to work one in three Saturdays.
